Steel Shot Introduction session
Not sure about steel? Let us answer your questions
Service Description
This course is aimed at experienced shooters who have their own guns and license Uncertain about the future? Come and try steel shot under our supervision. We will assess your gun for steelshot suitability. Nearly all modern guns are able to shoot standard or HV steel clay loads. You will then shoot steel cartridges (12 Bore 24gram biowad) at a variety of targets under our supervision to give you some helpful hints that should help your shooting in general. The aim is to demonstrate to you that Steel shot is not something to be concerned about when it comes to clay shooting. Those attending should bring any chokes that they have with their gun. Fixed choked guns of constrictions more than ½ (Modified) are not generally suitable and those guns fitted with aftermarket “thin wall” chokes should check with their manufacturer. The majority of modern guns that were multichoked at manufacture are suitable for using steel shot. For the few that are not suitable we can provide a free loan gun for the duration of the course.
